This video, without a doubt, is gonna be one of the most important ones in the whole program. So watch this thing all the way to the end and do not skip it. I'm going to be breaking down my entire criteria that I look for in a winning product. If you can understand this, your ability to identify a successful product is going to go through the roof. So we're going to break down all of my research strategies, my full winning product criteria, and I'm even going to show you guys a live example of a winning product that I would test right now. So I'm really excited for this one. Let's get right into it. The first thing I need you all to understand is that not all products are created equal. And what I mean by this is that the majority of products you guys see will not make you money. I don't care if you think it's cool. I don't care if you think the product is crazy. Most of the products you guys are seeing out there on AliExpress, even some of the products you guys are seeing inside a Viral Vault are not going to make you money. And the ability to go ahead and spot the right products is the key to succeeding on shopify. Selecting the right products and having that ability to spot the right products is crucial to you seeing your results on shopify. I'm telling you this from firsthand experience from somebody who's tested many bad products. There is a difference between the people that win and those who don't. And one of the biggest reasons is they don't know how to pick good products. And by the end of this video, that's not going to be you. By the end of this video, you're going to be good. Not every single product inside a Viral Vault is a million dollar product. And I know that's an elephant in the room, but I want to just make that very clear to you all. Just because we upload the product here, doesn't mean the product is destined to make $10 million. Our goal with the Viral Vault is to show you guys products that have recently gone viral, that have some potential, and some untapped products that we think would be pretty cool. But regardless, you have to run the filter yourself and be able to find those products with maximum potential. At the end of this video, I am going to show you a product that was just uploaded to Viral Vault, like two, three days ago that has potential. As an example. One other thing that I need you guys to really do this is so, so important, and not enough people in the group are doing this. Get your product ideas reviewed by me or the coaches. That is one of the most valuable things in this entire program. We have two coaches inside of our community, and we're going to be hiring some more. That are there to help you. So make sure if you have a product idea that you want to test, run it by the coaches in our community. I'm telling you, this is going to make a world of a difference. Share it with me on the Sunday calls as well. I'm roasting products every Sunday, and I got a pretty good read on which products are going to make money and which ones aren't. So this begins the winning product criteria. So get out your notebook, get out the notes app on your phone, whatever it is, I need you to take notes and I need you to pay close attention on this. The first thing, and one of the most important things when it comes to actually having a winning product is finding stuff that actually provides value to the customer. Now, you guys can get away with selling these little funny gimmicky products. It's cool. But the products that go on to make millions of dollars are the ones that provide value. Think of a product in your mind right now. I guarantee you the first product you're thinking of is something that actually adds value to the life of the customer. The products that people remember, the products that people share are the ones that they feel like they need in their life. Oh, my gosh, I need to buy this because it's going to make my life better. Oh, my gosh. I need to buy this because it's going to fix this problem that I'm having. Products that provide value are very important and one of the most important things that you need to look for when selecting a product. So some questions to ask yourself in terms of providing value is would you or a friend of yours use the product yourself? It's such an easy, common sense thing, but I see people sending me crap products all the time that I know for a fact they would not give them as a gift to their mom or they would not give them as a gift to their best friend. So if it doesn't pass that test, it's almost a guarantee that this product is a nogo. The next thing you always want to look for is great reviews of the product on Amazon and AliExpress. This is going to save you massive amounts of headache because you might find a product that's making some money, but then you go on and start selling it and the reviews are horrible. People hate the product, just going to blow up in your face. So the first two checkboxes is to make sure that this is something that provides value, something that you would use yourself, and it actually has good reviews online. The next thing you need to look for is products that have gone viral on social media recently. Emphasis on recently. The more recent, the more potential, because that means there's still opportunity for you to get on it and get a piece of that pie. If the product is starting to go viral in less than 30 days, that means that there is extremely high potential for you to capitalize on it. But if the product has been viral for six to twelve months, there is less potential and it's going to require you to be much more creative. Because the truth is, in that six to twelve month time frame, there's been tens, maybe hundreds of people that have gone ahead and tested that product and maybe one or two rises to the top. Whereas in the first 30 days there's not that many people that jumped on the product. And you can be one of the first, especially if you do a great job of advertising a product, you can actually become the pioneer or the leader of that product. And that is where you make the most amount of money. That's what I did with the sleep band. I was literally one of the first people to actually scale that product successfully. By the time I had solid, it had only been going viral for a month, maybe only a couple weeks, like two weeks. And when I jumped in and I made my higher quality advertisement, we killed the competitors and we're going to talk about that on the fourth point. The next thing I want you all to really look for is a minimum of a three x markup. So let's say on AliExpress, it cost you $2 to get the product and $5 to ship the product, whatever it is. Let's say all in all, it cost you $7 to get the product sent out to a customer. You got to be able to sell this thing for, at a minimum, $21. At a minimum, you need to be able to rex the price of the product from the total cost of a ship. Make sure you guys are factoring shipping costs to this whole thing. I'm going to give you guys a document inside of this course that has a number calculator that you can plug in so you can see exactly how much you're going to be making profit per sale. The other thing you guys need to be looking for, in my opinion, is at least a $20 profit per sale. So again, if the product is costing you $7 to fulfill realistically, you need to be selling that product over $27. If a product costs me $7, I'm going to try to sell it for around 29, 99 or somewhere in that range. So that way I can know for a fact I'm going to make at least $20 per sale. Because when you're running ads, the person that can spend the most amount of money to acquire the customer is always going to win. And if you're only having a $5 profit margin per sale, it's going to be very hard for you to scale profitably. Trust me on that one. Look for the products with at least a three x markup and look for the price. You can definitely sell over $20 to cost. The higher the margin, the easier it's going to be to scale. And I'll tell you some other hacks that you can do to up that profit. But these are the base numbers that we're looking for. And the last thing in this first page is actually room for improvement on the competition. When you guys see this live example that I pulled up, this is going to click in your brain. But basically what I'm saying is that the product is going viral recently. It's a bigger opportunity if the competitor is messing up on something. Whether that is their advertisement is low quality, whether that is their website is not the greatest. Maybe you can even create a better offer on your website. These are things that are going to allow you to capitalize on these trends. And if you do not do that, you're not going to be able to get these products to pop off. Once we get to this example, I'm going to break down room for improvement in extreme depth. But I really want you to take a note on that one, because me improving upon the competition is a major reason why I was able to succeed with the sleep band. And I see people failing all the time because they don't do this. A couple of other things to add. I really want you guys to focus on selling products in markets that you know about. If you're a guy, do not be selling makeup just because you saw the products going viral. You don't know that industry. You don't know how to sell to those women. You don't know the language that they like to speak in. You need to focus on the industries that you are familiar with. It's going to make this game so much easier, I promise you. For example, we recently had a guy in the community who started a store in the recovery niche. And this is something that he is extremely passionate about because he had a surgery on his shoulder and he was looking for products that he himself would use to actually fix his issues. And as a result, he knew the problems they were having. He knew what type of products people were looking for and he was trying to solve his own problems. That is going to put you years and miles ahead of the competition because you can really tap into your target demographic of what they really want. So that's super important. And I want you guys to not just try to jump on what's the viral niche or what's the viral trend. Focus on finding something that's viral, but also something that you have at least base level understanding of. It's going to make this thing way easier and honestly, way more fun. Like, why would you want to sell in a market that you have no clue about? Why would you want to be involved in a marketplace that you just don't understand. It's like even if you did succeed and make millions of dollars, congrats. Now you're running a business in an industry that you're not passionate about. So just keep that in mind. The next thing these products need to have a wow factor to them. I don't care what anybody says, products that have a shock value to them do much better. Because it's social media. The things that go viral are exciting, and the boring stuff is much harder to get it to go viral. I'm not saying that boring products never work with ads, but they are so much harder to get to work and it's just like climbing an uphill battle or whatever the expression is. You need to find the products that are exciting. And honestly, the new products are the ones that are typically going to do the best. So if you can find products that aren't in stores and have some wow factor shock factor to them, those are the ones that are going to go viral. Why? It's simple human psychology. People say, oh, I've never seen this before, and oh, wow, this is cool. I'm going to tag my friend Sharon and have her take a look at this and it creates this viral effect. So really focus on finding those products with the wow factor or this game is going to be much harder to you. Skip the generic product. Look for the stuff that's exciting. Next up, you want to look for products with easy upsell potential. And upsell is essentially when you go to buy something and you get marketed something else that is similar to that product. This is not the most important thing. But if your goal is to go on and scale and build a brand, think about this. It's impossible to go ahead and just sell one product for four to five years. If you look at the biggest brands, they might have their one main product, but they also have a library of other products that are similar or even complimentary that allows them to scale much more aggressively, because then they can take all those customers about their original product and sell them other products and create this ecosystem and make way more money. So for Sleep Band, some of the upsells we had were pillows. We had a sleep spray and we even created a digital audio for people to listen to with the sleep band. And honestly, without this, it would have been very hard for the business to be profitable. So keep that in mind when you're selecting your products. Now, if you're getting overwhelmed by all these criteria, I got something that's going to help you out a lot, and hopefully you've been taking notes. But for now, let's keep going. So the truth is, products that hit on all the criteria are the real winners. You guys need to search as hard as you can for the products that are hitting on all these criteria. It's not going to be easy to find these products that hit everything. But when you find those products, that's when you should get excited. When I see a product and I get that feeling like, oh my gosh, this product is amazing. This product is going to go viral. It's because it's hitting on all these factors. And because I've been doing this for so long, I can subconsciously spot these things. But for you guys, it's very important to write these things out so you can understand them and you can run each product through that checklist. And I got something that's going to help you out with that. I'll show you in a second. And then we'll go down and just say, products that hit some will get a few sales. And products that hit none or just one of these criterias, it's going to lose you money. It's absolutely not worth testing a product if it only hits like one of these criteria. Good winning products hit all these criteria, or at least the majority of them. So make sure you're finding products that hit all these. If possible, take the time to do it. Don't rush product research. Take the time to do it the right way. Now let's take a look at an example of a product that, in my opinion, hits on almost every single criteria. And this is actually a product from the Viral Vault. So let me pull this up right here. So this product is actually a holster T shirt. Essentially it's a T shirt with a holster inside of it for a gun. Now, this product is simple, but it hits on almost every criteria that I'm looking for. So let's run through the list. The first one, it actually provides value to the customer. Listen, this is a product that if you're into carrying guns, this is potentially a better way than carrying your gun. You can just reach in, grab your strap, and get busy if you got to. You know what I mean? It's a product that people that are enthusiasts of guns would actually like. And the proof is actually in the pudding. We'll show you that in 1 second. The next thing is, is it viral on social media? That's what I wanted to show you guys. This product was launched at the beginning of September, right at the end of August. And in around 30 days, this product got 1.7 million views. And then if we go into the comments, you'll see that people are actually saying, this is an awesome product. Of course there's always haters. But then other people are saying, this is great to carry a wallet. That's another good thing to mention. This is also saying you don't have to undress. It's just starting a comment war. People like the product though. Overall, people are saying good things about the product. Of course it's social media. So people are going to say all types of stuff, but that's great. I like it. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Otherwise, there are some good comments about this product. Actually. It's a great place to conceal and carry. What I care about more than all these random dudes in the comments is that people are saying, I need one. I'd like to purchase this. I want this. I want a couple of these. I want to what I care about more is that in a month, it got this many views, this many likes. And look at this ad. I mean, this is not a revolutionary piece of content. This ad is like, pretty low quality. This ad is like 11 seconds long. There's no tech, there's no music. It's very much a simplistic ad that you could actually improve upon. And the people didn't even include their link inside of the description. If we go to their website here, we will see the website is just horrible. The first image that you see is a woman with a Christmas tree. And then you see solar powered lights. Like, guys, these are the opportunities. And this is exactly what I'm talking about when I say room for improvement. You come to this website. This isn't it. Imagine if you made a better ad and imagine if you made a better website. Do you think that you would be able to capitalize on this trend? I would say so. And this is a good looking trend. This product is going to cost you around $9 to fulfill, give or take. You can sell this product for $30 all day long. There's good images of it ready to go online. If you look on Amazon, similar products are getting great reviews. People like the product. So, all in all, for me, this would be a product worth testing. It literally hits on everything that I'm looking for. Room for improvement. Three X markup $20 profit recently. Viral providing value. Now, I'm not a big gun guy, so I'm not in that marketplace. Maybe that's the only thing that I would leave off of. There definitely has a wow factor to it. It's definitely something new. You can't buy this at Walmart and there are plenty of upsells that you could sell for this product. I wanted to show you guys an example just so you can see a live look at what one of these products looks like. But yeah, this is pulled from the Viral Vault just from a couple of days ago. So what I want to discuss now is my favorite ways to actually find these products. Now, on top of this, I've actually had the product researcher at Viralvault create you guys a full PDF with every single product research method you will ever need in your entire life. So I don't want to hear you guys saying, oh, I don't know how to find products. If anybody ever says that to me, I know for a fact that they didn't go through the training that's all I'm going to say. My personal favorite ways are these. The first one will be your Facebook, Instagram and TikTok feeds. Now this sounds like the most overly simplistic way, but every single product that I've found has been from this method. Specifically Facebook and Instagram. The way that you can do this the most effectively is actually tricking your account into feeding you more products. So for Facebook and Instagram, what you want to do is every single time you see an advertisement, we'll go back to this one. For example, you want to like the ad, you want to drop a comment. You want to go to the website directly. And when you're on that website, you want to shop around. So let's see if I can actually find this product. This website sucks. It won't even load for me. But what you want to do is you want to go to the actual product itself and you want to add it to your cart. You want to make it to the checkout page. Basically just showing Facebook that you are an interested customer. What's going to happen is Facebook is going to start force feeding you content. And this really works. Even to this day. You can do the same exact thing on Tik Tok. And since it's so easy to create a new account on TikTok, I would literally start a brand new TikTok just for this, just for product research. Set up the account, do some searching on the search bar for products. Look up like Amazon finds. TikTok made me buy it. Viral Tik Tok products and just start double tapping, liking all these products, commenting on these products, going to different websites. Every time you get an ad, do the same exact thing and watch what happens. You're literally going to get force fed products every single day. And I'm not kidding. So this would be my first method for finding products. This has worked the best for me. The second would be Viral Vault. Now basically, this is exactly what we do for the products in Viral Vault. Every single product in there is hand picked. We don't use no software or nothing like that. We have a person that is manually doing the research, running the product through this criteria, and hand picking each product. The only thing I would say is, if you're a beginner, make sure the product that you're selecting hit on all the criteria. And also focus on the trending products more so than the untapped products. Untapped are much better for somebody with experience. Trending is much better for you. If you are a beginner. Like if you're just getting started, trending is much better for you. The next things that you guys can use are the TikTok Creative Center and the Facebook Ads Library. So the TikTok Creative Center is this right here. It's going to go ahead and show you what is going viral on this platform. So right now, obviously, we're going into October. So people are getting really excited over Halloween and horror stories and spooky stuff. So this is an opportunity to sell those types of products. But you can also do is you can go in here into TikTok videos and you can get an idea of what type of products people are really interested in. So you can spend time here, you can spend a couple hours here, and eventually you will find some products that have potential. So after doing a little bit of scrolling, I found this store right here which is selling these shoes. These shoes look absolutely crazy. This got 9 million views and I know for a fact that they're selling this stuff from AliExpress. I just been around the block too long, I know what an AliExpress listing looks like. And yeah, this is just a great example. I scrolled for like 30 seconds and I found this product. Then we can go to their page and we can go look at what they're doing. They got all different types of shoes on here, I'm sure. And this website is not life changing. They're just selling basic fashion stuff. But you can get an idea of stuff that's trending just from using this library. Facebook also has one. I'll show you that real quick. So inside of the Facebook ads library, you can search up whatever you want and they're going to show you the fresh ads that are running right now. So one thing that you guys could go ahead and search is get yours here or order here or get yours now. And you're actually going to be recommended a lot of products. So here's one right here, just recently launched Plant Support Clips. You'll see, this is another product right here. 55 different ads are running this product. You'll see, this is another ad right here. This is literally just feeding me products that are going viral recently. And I'm not paying any money for nothing like this. This is really a cool idea. You send in your pet and you can actually get a Lego creation of this. I guarantee you can find something similar like this on AliExpress. This is honestly one of the best ways that you guys can find products is just leveraging the free tools that are already out there. And of course the last thing you guys can use is some more paid tools like minia or PP ads. But I don't think it's necessary for a lot of you guys. And I see a lot of beginners putting out all this money into all these tools and I think it's just going to break your bank. Out of the two. I recommend Mina, and we have an affiliate link down there if you guys want to check that out. But ultimately I don't think it's essential. You guys have literally the library right there from Facebook. And I showed you how easy it is to scrape products. You have the TikTok library. And if you trick your Facebook feed, your Facebook feed is a library. Same with TikTok. So the point that I want to finish this video with and don't leave yet. Don't leave yet because you need to listen to the end. The end is the most important part of this video. But I just want you guys to understand, finding the product is not hard. Identifying the products with potential is. And that's the main point of this entire video. Now for all of our product research methods, there's going to be a PDF down below. Sandesh took his time out to go ahead and create that. He's also one of the coaches in our community. So if you guys have any more questions about product research, feel free to reach out to Sandesh. You can tag him. He's going to answer whatever questions you might be having. He is an expert at finding products. Now what should you do next? Pay close attention to this. You need to use this criteria that we went through today and you need to find 20 potential products to add to the sheet. You can go ahead and you can do even more than 20, but really you need to find at least 20. And you might be thinking, what sheet? What am I talking about? Well, I created you guys. This spreadsheet right here and this is what I want you guys to use to organize your products. The reason why is because it has all the things that we're looking for and also it has this checklist right here. Now this checklist consists of every single criteria point that I mentioned to you today. And what I want you guys to do is when you upload the product inside of here, you're going to go ahead and run through this checklist. And if the product hits on one of these points, it gets a point. And you're going to look for the products with the most points. So let me go ahead and upload the holster shirt as an example. So I filled this product in, I put all the variables inside of there and I added up all the points. So it's viral on social media in the last 30 days. So it gets three points as a $20 profit margin. So it gets one point, it gets one point here, one point here. This is room for improvement on video ad, room for improvement on website, one point for wow factor. And then it also gets a point here for a product being a need and also the upsell product. So 123-4567 and I can't count that'll be ten points. So boom. What I want you guys to do is go through and do this for 20 products. You may be saying 20 products, that's a lot of work. Well, guess what, it's going to be more work if you launch a crappy product and it fails and you have to backtrack completely. So the next step. I want you guys to do is use this criteria. Get 20 products on the list. Don't rush. Take your time. And when you're done, get your list reviewed by the coaches inside of our community. They're there to help you. I'm here to help you. I'm also here on the Sunday calls, so I want you guys to bring it to me on the call as well. And we are going to roast your list. We're going to help you pick the best products from the list. And, yeah, that's what I want you guys to do. Now, moving forward, that's your homework for right now. After you finish this video, you can keep watching videos if you want. But now you know what you need to do if you want to make money with this game. Now you know what the first step is. So no more questioning yourself. This is what you need to do to move forward. And I hope this video was helpful to you. This is everything I know about product research. I didn't leave out any secrets. I didn't leave out any game. I gave it all to you on this video. So thanks for watching. We got more on the way. I'll see you in the next one.
