The first stage of Designing our store is going to be uploading our assets and making a store look nice so we can click right here and we can click on brand assets and then we can go ahead and we can upload the logo that we just created. So let me go to my desktop and I think it's this one right here and it's gonna go ahead and upload that and then we'll have our logo imported. Now, we're gonna also need to include some other formats for this logo. So they're gonna ask for a square logo. What I recommend for this part of the logo is that we take the icon from our logo and we turn it into a square. Typically one thing that you could try as alternative. If you don't have an icon is the first letter of your business just something that we can use as a it's called a favicon like a mini icon that represents our brand. So in this case we need to do 500 x 500. I'm gonna go ahead and do coffee and resize because it's a different project. We're gonna delete the text. We're gonna scale this guy all the way up and then we're gonna go ahead and once again hit save and download now we can go through and click Square we can upload that and boom. So now we have two different representations of our brand we have the square one. We have the full size one. And as you can see this is what it will kind of look like you have the big one and you have the little one in in other examples, they're gonna ask for different colors of our brand now when it comes to Colors, there's a chart that we can pull up together. This is something that can help you in establishing the color that you want to use for your brand. This is one that I like. This shows some of the biggest brands in the world and it shows what colors they use to represent them. So you have gray for calm and balance you have green for peace. You have trust for dependability and I think for a brand like this our best option is gonna be something that's blue or something that's in this red color because travel is kind of excited. It's exciting but they will need to trust us. These are just minor things and you can just go through these different charts and see some examples to help you establish your color in this case. We're gonna do like a blue. I'm gonna probably use a similar blue to what I use for Sleep band. So go ahead and use this one and contrasting color. We'll go ahead and keep it on white secondary color. We can go ahead and just put that on black in this case. And as for now that's pretty much the basic assets. We're gonna need for our brand. All right, after that, they're gonna ask for a slogan and a short description. This is not make or break, but you can go ahead and do this yourself or once again use a tool like chat GPT. In this case. I'll just write one out myself so we can say like Essentials for any type of Excursion. And then for your short description just basically break down. What what is your business sell? So excursa here? It's cursor. We provide the world's you can spend more time writing this if you really want to but barely anybody's gonna see this. This is just kind of for the back end and for different type of social platforms that are connected to your Shopify account. Now that we got our assets uploaded to our store. It's time to finally start building this thing and to do that. We need to first pick a theme. This is something that people always ask me about and a lot of beginners get way too hung up on selecting the right theme. I'm gonna tell you like this you could use the same theme as me and the finished product can look completely different. So what that means is that the thing that's going to make the difference is not the theme that you select but the effort that you put forth in designing that and making it look great and the three options for themes that I recommend and what we're going to be using in this program. We're gonna break those down right now the theme that I used initially and still love to this day to test products and scale is called impulse. The problem with impulse is that it costs $350. Now that's what I used but I don't want you guys to go and do that just because I use that again you spending $350 on a theme is not going to be the Difference Maker. In fact, it's just gonna make it harder for you because you're spending a big chunk of your money on a freaking lines of code that makes a store look a certain way. There are amazing free themes from Shopify. All right, there are two that I recommend and I have personally used and they are called Don and sense. I show them right here. These themes have been tested by shoutfly hundreds of thousands of times. Okay, they've been proven to work. They've been proven to convert and lots of big stores use these themes. So there is nothing wrong with either of these free theme options. I don't want you thinking or letting somebody sell you this dream that you need that pay and spend a lot of money on a theme to be successful because it's not it's a waste of money. Look either of these options can be good for you. They both have Different styles to them. So depending on what industry you choose. You're going to select a different one. I think if you're if you're selling a product that are more like, you know Beauty and more like fashion and a little more like vibrant and colorful you might want to go for the sense option. But if you're doing something that is a little more simple and a little more broad like home or travel or health and wellness. You might want to go for Dawn. Those are the two deviations. I would say between those things. At the end of the day, I can't stress is enough. The Difference Maker is not going to be which theme you select. It's the amount of time that you put into designing and making that theme look great. For this example and for the store that we're going to be building today. We are going to probably use the sense theme. I think I'm gonna work better with that one. I like how the product pages look on sense a lot but Don can work extremely well for this industry as well. So again, both of these themes are solid options and it doesn't really matter which one you pick what matters the most is how much effort you put forth into designing that theme. So I guess for this store we will go through and we will use Dawn. I like Don that's what we're gonna go with for today and I'm gonna be building the store with you live. So you can know exactly how to do it with this theme the principles transfer over into the other theme as well. So pick one that fits best with you follow the guide and make this story your own at the end of the day. That's all that really matters. So the next video we're gonna build this homepage. Let's do it.
