Let's get into the good stuff. I'm not saying skip everything before that stuff is crucial. And if you skip any of those steps, you're not gonna be able to do anything that I'm gonna show you going forward effectively, but these next couple videos are gonna talk about how I went from having a Drop Shipping stored just selling this product to really transitioning it into its own brand. I'm gonna talk to you about how I actually transition the name the website design the logo the domain all that first, then we're gonna actually get into some more of the Nitty Gritty details of how I was able to continue to scale this product and improve the quality overall. This is stuff that a lot of people really don't talk about so I know that this is going to be extremely valuable to you in the first video. I'm gonna talk about the transitioning phase from that story to the brand new store. Then we're gonna talk about how I expanded the product Library. I'm gonna show you my full for the first time for the first time. I'm gonna show you my full gem Pages layout. This thing has been copied and pasted by so many other freaking people trying to take credit for there's even people that are charging money. For that but anyways, yeah, I'm gonna show you guys my layout that have been running now for over a year and a half and yeah, then we'll lastly talk a little bit more on the subject of branding the product and establishing yourself as the top seller in the industry, but let's get started with the transition phase because that's very important and it was very tricky for me but I'm gonna make it very easy for you. The date range that these videos are gonna cover in this section are really gonna be from around October of 2020 till I would say the end of December in January and Beyond is when I really started pushing this and trying to scale it as hard as I could but in these couple of months, I was really focused on establishing the brand and we really covered that in the other video, but you guys can see the benefits of doing this right like we were able to take this thing over to 17 thousand dollars in a single day and and I did the transition phase that I'm gonna show you right around this era. So we did a transition we pulled back and then I just started letting the ads budget. Rip and you guys see how high it scaled from doing these couple of steps here. We'll talk about the reason why it dropped off and how I was able to get it back up pretty high as well. So we're gonna break this all down. Let's get into the first video first. Let's talk about how I went from this to this and then ultimately all the way to this nice clean branded store. This step is what I believe really establishes you as a brand taking this step will really certify you in the eyes of the customer as the top seller for the product and it's actually pretty simple. So back in the days that I was running this actual layout of the store. It was still on the same back end you guys already know that but it had a different domain it was Nouveau home or Nouveau house.co and we were really scaling the Sleep band at that time. I mean you guys seen the results before, you know, let's go around that time. This was for probably September all the way up until the end of October, you know, we really started to see some traction with the product. So it was a no-brainer for me to go. All in and you can see that we did that. We sort of rebranded certain things on the back end and this was that time that we switched. So, how did I switch the first thing that I did was I bought the domain now the domain wasn't available for sleepband.com. There was the dot Co but I really wanted the com so I found this tool you guys might like this tool if you never heard of it. Basically you can buy like whatever domain that you want. So they will do the research for you. Okay, they'll find you the domain and then what they do is that they'll actually buy the domain for you and then you make a payment you see right here. They have like a payment plan. So I was able to come up on the Sleep band domain which at the time was like five six thousand dollars. Whoever that was shout out to them. But anyways, I had to pay them that and I at the time I didn't want to use our cash for that. We were experiencing some of the Shopify holds that come as you scale. So I didn't want to use our cash for that. So I was able to put a a payment plan and you guys can do that too. So I recommend that if you want to Brand your store and the domain is kind of expensive you can always do a payment plan with these guys or another company. These aren't the only people that offer that service in terms of the logo. I mean, I went with a very simple and clean design. I just found some icon from the internet and I actually had a friend help me Design This I hadn't put the mask on there and do the little swoop and then we added some disease. It's a simple logo y'all but a simple logo is good a simple logo is rememberable think of FaZe Clan think of Nike right think of Apple like simple logos always win. So simple logo, I just looked up sleep font. And that's what I came up with. I made it in Photoshop really just Touches and this was the first transition that I did. So all I did was I basically redesigned the actual homepage and then I swapped out the domain now this brought some problems because you'll see around these times like where the sales would just drop to nothing like this. For example, this is like I changed the store and I changed the domain and then we got banned on Facebook because you can't have redirected links on your post. So make sure when you guys change the actual domain you go back and you change the link in your ad don't worry. It's not gonna kill your ad if your ad was already performing. Well, it will perform again. It might start off a little rocky. But I've done it. I'm a testament to this the ad will work again. Okay don't think that your curse or something if you change your name like the ad will work again, so don't be don't be too stressed about that. And yeah, I think we started with this. This is another impulse theme design. I used to have both sleep bands right here. This layout works. You know, this is very clean. Just headline. What is the product with images branded images? These are Photoshop. But you know now we have branded ones product testimonials email list simple y'all very simple stuff here. Nothing too crazy, right and then where we really took it to the next level and this this happened a little bit after this time period but I'd rather we just discuss it in this video. This is our page, right? This is the one that we pretty much rock out with for the last year or more and the way I did this one was I sent this design to an actual development team and they built it for me and I'm gonna show you guys that development team right now. They are called the landing page dude. They did a good job for me. I don't know if they're still active. I don't know what they're what they're up to these days, but they did a great job for me so I vouch for their service, you know. They did a good job. This is what they designed it took them about a week and a half and nobody can really copy this like they can but like this is a custom coded website. So now again think about the the user right when they land on our website, they're getting a unique experience and they have yet to see a website that look exactly like this. Whereas there are many websites that look like this. This is of easy template to copy. So I think you know rebranding getting the official.com domain and then ultimately redesigning. Our homepage was a major step to actually being able to scale this business and to any of you out there having a product that's getting some numbers. This only costs me like two thousand dollars 2500 dollars easy right off way worth it highly highly recommended. So that's pretty much it when it comes to branding the website. It's pretty simple process again, just make sure to change your links after you do this if you do this, and also keep this in mind, make sure Triple quadruple 10x check this with an official lawyer. Make sure that the name that you are using for your product is not brand. I mean is not copyrighted is not patent. None of that like you want to be able to own the patent and copyright for your brand. You trust me you want that you need that it is it is important, especially if your goal is to sell the brand you can still sell it without that but the value of it increases exponentially if you have that so really really keep that in mind gem pages is my favorite landing page builder on Shopify, even though the designer can be a little bit clunky. It works very well and it has all the features that you need to really showcase your product in a unique way. So you guys already know what we doing in this video man. We're gonna break down my jam page layout here. So this is what I'm running right now this this at this current moment. This is what I'm running so I'm gonna show you this and then also I'm going to show you this other variation that we used to run. And we still run from time to time. This is definitely a much more simplified template. And then the older one that we used to run looks like this. This is the first gem Pages layout that I used to use as you can see. It's very similar to the one that we're running. Now. The only difference is that I used to run it with this bundle and I really would recommend that you guys try this setup right here. Basically, it's like a tiered bundle. So and when you click buy now it Scrolls you down Scrolls you down to here and then boom now you can see one sleep band Tuesday around three sleep bands and then we really like frame it as the two is the best deal because realistically it is right like it's best deal for us. It's best deal for you. Everybody wins off too, right? So that's what we really use for the longest time. And then I did do a split test where we took this away. And that's that's where interesting so, you know, we were able to see us. Let me just show you so if we look at August to September versus October we'll go October to the end of the year. We're gonna go past this soon. I'll show you more don't worry, but you're gonna see just from that change alone. We were able to increase our average order value by six dollars and you know, you might not be looking at that like that to the crazy number, but guess what guys let's do 5,621 times six dollars. That one change added an extra 33,000 in Revenue, right? I'm not saying that is the only thing that allowed us to increase our aov but man that made a huge difference in the other product and setting up the bundle page really helped us out a lot in terms of scaling. It's right here in terms of scaling. It really helped us out a lot. So this is the first template but let's break down what I'm using today. The reason why I switched to this is because this is actually compliant with Google ads this stuff right here. I'm gonna close out that this right here is is like a great area. So if you do plan on running Google ads, you gotta really talk with somebody before you run something like this, but at the time we weren't running Google we were just running Facebook. But anyways, this layout right here is fully compliant with all ad platforms and it performs so This actually boosted my conversion rate when we added this but let's break it down. So first off we have a review up here and I think it will be better if we could look at this at mobile. So let's do that. Most of our traffic is coming from mobile. So this is what our website looks like on the mobile view as you can see clean images. These were shot by my friend Pierre. Oh, my do is very talented photographer. And then, you know, we we have our free book offer. We'll talk about that a little bit more too. But we just have some images up top and then we have the price and the title of the product and also the reviews so this is just five stars. This is just image that I took from the internet, but when you click it, you're gonna see here that it links when I say link it Scrolls to so if we click on this, right? Scrolls us to the reviews. So a lot of people do that. I watch some of the videos of viewers on our site. That's what they do. Right? And then we have a benefit right away. The world's most comfortable headphones for sleeping guaranteed. That's a as more than a benefit. That's a claim that is our elevator pitch right when people ask me what about my business, that's what I tell them it is that's what I that's how I sell my product to people in real life too. So think of something like that for your brand and then we really transitioned the layout into this new style with the with the bundle option. This is what's working for us right now. But again, you know, you'd have to experiment with that for yourself. If you notice by the way, the the price has changed that's business baby. If you look at Walmart, if you look at Target any of these other big companies, they're always testing offers. So don't be afraid to do that. The FCC is not gonna crack down on you test offers test different things. This is what's working. Well for us now after that we have some payment logos. I'm not a big fan of like the trust. Badges at all. I think they look like garbage these days but something simple like this, you know, it is very good these icons. I'm pretty sure they're all built in. Yeah, they're all built in already too gem pages. So it's very convenient for me. And then this is just a basic text that says Shopify secured. I think I even took that out. Yeah, it's not even there anymore. All right, after that, we have a divider line and then we have just some these are. again, this is very much like the elevator pitch of the product like describe your product in like three quick bullet points. It's a breathable and comfortable headband with ultra thin built-in speakers designed to help you sleep better. Right and if you look at really what we're saying, it's the same thing. One line clean benefit that describes your product Don't Let It Bleed over into two lines. Keep it nice and clean, you know, nice and organized and this is a good layout a lot of big brands use a similar layout to this too. You're gonna see like companies like gel Blaster and a bunch of other brands using a similar style to this. This is a common style now and it works. So then we talk about what's included in their package just people always like that dm'd us that and ask us that so there it is. And we also add this. So let's talk about this person bonus free ebook with your order. This also was a conversion rate booster. So I asked my manager to write a little five page book and and that book give tips to sleep better. So if we go if we go to sleep then calm slash. There goes okay. Whoo. I forgot the name. All right. Yeah, so you'll see thanks for your purchase download your user manual FAQ, you know, this is just simple stuff guys, but when people is acting more than a five pages 13 pages so big shout out to her, but you know, if you guys see like these are just nice things that make people happier when they buy your product. So take the extra, you know step to do stuff like this. It doesn't have to be a book but you know think of something and then right away, we have a video review a lot of people really prefer the video. So this gets a lot of playthroughs a lot of people watch this so video review crucial and then I just paraphrased her review and put the five stars again and you know, Everything works. That's what's important. Like I have very high attention to detail on his site. Like everything is very as clean as I could get it. That's what's important to me. Next up. We have some logos. This is another gray area thing. I mean, we haven't been featured on these Publications. But again, it's just sort of like a trust factor and if you do ever want to get featured in these, you know type of pages there are Services where you can pay and they'll do a buzzfeed. They'll do Elite Daily do travel but it really makes no difference. Nobody is really like looking for this stuff and trying to backtrack it unless they want to like expose you or something but these are just minor things and then this is my definition of a trust badge. Okay, and when I say trust bad you guys I'm talking about You probably already know but I don't know the demographic of who's buying this case study. So I just want to be clear like this type of stuff. Like we we don't want this on our website. This used to look cool back in the day, but like seriously do not put it on your website. Don't do it. Like you just don't do it but something like this is nice because now they trust us. Hey you try this out for 30 days and if you don't like it cool send it back refund. Painful for us if our products sucks, but also forces us to create the best product and makes our customers confident in the purchase free shipping. You see the deal you see you see the expected time and we talk about our customers as well. We do have thousands of customers you guys, you know, it's not it's not cap. If we look at our orders here. You can see we we have almost 40,000 of them boys. Okay, so, you know what I'm saying? We got a lot of customers. Enjoy a deeper more come don't lie about this though. If you just starting your brand say hundreds or you know, say say don't lie though. Seriously, like try your best to be honest. But if you got it, if you got to stretch it a little bit, you know in the name of marketing. I ain't mad at you. All right. So this is the actual explainer of the product. We find that not a lot of people even get to reading this but the older crowd will read this so, you know, they're gonna read this is again three major benefits of why you want to use our product and then we really break down how the product works. If you notice it's very similar to to the benefits that I had on the original page the benefits don't change. You know, I just might have gotten a little better at copywriting and that three months time span and then I lastly end with like a darker like pain point. This is something I learned just from doing like webinars and that type of marketing. It's like build up the product build up the product and then show them what they're actual life is like like, you know, like right now if you're using this this is happening to you and listen this is gonna cause these problems in the future, right and our product is a solution. Oh, you still don't trust it. Well, here's a review. How did we get this review? This is one of the biggest YouTubers if you don't already know this guy does product reviews, right? That's what he does and he's he's pretty big, you know this if there's anybody to review your product you want this guy to review your product and Totally shouted us out man. I could play our version of it, but I'd rather show his so. Check this out. We didn't pay a dollar for this. By the way. This was free. This was a free hundred and fifty thousand views and I'm gonna talk more about that in another video about YouTube influencers, but the way that I was able to get this guy to promote our product and review our product for free was actually Just sending it to him. I found his address. I wrote a handwritten letter and I sent it to him and then two three months went by and boom this video got uploaded and somebody sent it to me and I was ecstatic this this really was good for us man. Like he talked very good about her products see how it works next stop bedtime with sleeping and now it fits over my ears perfectly. So if you're using it for a week, I'll say the battery lasts for a long time on the Sleep band and I actually realized that you can adjust the speakers which actually not only helped the placement around my ears, but I was able to get it and configuration where the module doesn't dig in my nose as much so once I got all that dialed in I actually like to sleep band quite a bit. If you're looking for a Bluetooth sleep mask, I would say the Sleep band could be a good option to consider. You see what I'm saying? Like that's a big cosign and we just send them off the product. So that's pretty much the layout. There's not much else to it. We use the same exactly. I also to reviews at the bottom. Of course, of course, I'm using looks reviews for that and always try to put the Was at first at the top there's a way to automatically set that up. And then for the Sleep band Pro, it looks the exact same we did make some changes though. This is just experimentation. We put instead of the benefits like bullet point. We put icons and shorten the benefits but the layout is very similar, right? Like it's it's almost identical different girl different review. But again, it's it's very similar and look at this we get some good reviews baby. These are real customers, right? Like this is the third time I bought I keep buying them from my like this is what I love and this is what I want for you guys. I want I want you guys to have happy customers. I want you guys to really build a brand like I want you to build a asset right? And that's that's really what I've tried to do here. Have we done a perfect job? Hell no. We still have a bunch of bad reviews. We still have people that didn't love our product, but I would say the good Significantly outweighs the bad and for that I'm proud.
