Let's talk about the testing phase the testing phase for this store began around May of 2020. If we look at the analytics, you can see we actually got our first sale on May 22nd, and I was able to get to a hundred and ninety dollars on the first day of testing with this store not with the Sleep band with a completely different product and I'm gonna show you all that but pretty much for the first two months of May in June. I was testing a variety of products. What were we testing we were testing a peel and stick marble Furniture. I'm just gonna go ahead and show you guys what that product looks like on an ad. It was basically a product that you use to like spice up your kitchen and make it look nicer. Honestly. When I started testing this product, I thought this was the one I thought you know, we were gonna make it out of the mud with this product. Basically, you could transform like any Cabinetry or anything that looks old and outdated what okay, it doesn't want to load you can transform anything with this and I thought it was fire like I ordered it we Did my mom's cabinet with it? We took some videos, you know, I was really feeling amped about this product. And as you guys can see it was consistently getting sales 62 purchases in that first month pretty decent cost per purchase, but I even went to Brand the store I even changed the brand name of the store. Like I went all in on this product. We're gonna dive deep into these campaigns, but I'm just showing you what I started with. I had another product that I was also testing at the time it was this 3D Rainbow film. Let me see if I can find it you guys probably seen this product on tiktok before this was actually the first product that we tested on this store. And again, you can see here it was getting sales consistently for a low cost per purchase. So, you know, that's just what it is when you've been in this game for a while when you launch products, they should be getting some sales. You know, it shouldn't be getting no sales. Like anyways, this was the product you put this little sticker on your window and it creates all these rainbows. I edited my own ad and it's pretty funny since we're here. I'll tell you guys the details like I edited this ad on the very last day of my apartment in La like the last day I was leaving back to move to Florida I created Ad and I created this store that I'm about to show you on the last day. It was a very dark day. It was raining and never rains in Laos sad and I was just like I need to do something. So I created this store and I was feeling good about it. So that's really what I started with. Let me see if I can really show you guys what this store used to look like in the beginning. So I think Okay. So this is where I switched over to the vinyl, but I think if we go to this one right here. No, no if we go to this one. Okay, boom. This was the store that I was using to test products. This was my hybrid store. It's called Nuvo which means new you know, I thought it was pretty fresh name, you know, nouveauxhome.co. I had a simple logo guys. Very basic clean logo. Nice font. Nice icon. Nothing crazy though, you know, we don't have to be above and beyond with the design simple clean font using the impulse theme if you didn't see that already, obviously I had something here, but I guess the image expired it's been two years you also, you know, it's not there anymore. But we had a basic layout here talking about our mission. We want to help over 10,000 people blah blah. You see what it says and then overall my goal for this store guys was to have a very clean and trustworthy design. That was really the only thing that I cared about and if you would if we go back to those original testing days, especially the first month that I found, Sleep band you guys will see that this store was actually getting very high conversion rate. We'll go. We'll go to July and August. Like look at this. So this was the first two months that I launched the Sleep band and I actually did launch the Sleep band on this store. So it was still on Nuvo. I don't really know if it will let me show y'all how I used to have it. I don't think it will. But anyways, I launched it on this store right here. So if we just go to our main product listing you can get an idea. Yeah, this is it. This is it this is it so we literally had simple product page title. Obviously. I didn't have the Branded image at the time. I think we had an image more like this with a Photoshop logo. We had a simple bundle option. Yeah. This is exactly what it used to look like. When I tested this product with the exception of the images. This is exactly what it looked like simple headline. Enjoy a deeper more comfortable sleep talking about why you shouldn't use regular headphones talking about the benefit of our product Bolding all that took this image straight from AliExpress. Why use our product you understand this layout guys, I could go through it though real quick, you know because you I know you guys want to see this stuff so very simple layout we say to the headline and then we just break down the main benefits of the product. So if you use this, you're gonna sleep better, if you if you use this you're gonna see it has Ultra Soft breathable materials, you're gonna see it has premium sound quality battery life. These are really all the benefits of the product. These are not the features. These are the benefits. So 100% seeing washable multiple uses outside of the bedroom. These are my selling points. You could even see our old logo here man. This is a throwback. I really haven't looked at this in a while. But yeah, that's our old logo. Obviously. These are all new reviews. We got all these folks with our, you know branded product which is so dope to see but yeah at the beginning I used to just Photoshop it so yeah, this is what the testing store and this is what the testing landing page looked like and as you can see when I launched this product because at the end of July, this product would was not a thing right there was only the the paper that little marble paper but it was doing terrible. It wasn't even profitable anymore. And that's when I tested the Sleep band and I believe This was the first day that I tested it right here. You can see we did two hundred and four dollars. Let me see if I can actually go to that day for you guys. We'll go to this this little week right here because I believe this is the first week. Where the Sleep band. Yeah. This is it right here. This is the very first week that the Sleep band started selling. So July 14th to July 18th is when I tested this product and I think it would be good to take a look at the original ads when we did that so let's backtrack a little bit. Let's go to July 2020. This is a different style of content for me guys, because I'm used to really editing everything but we're really just gonna break this down as we're all as possible. So here we go. This is July 14 to July 18th, sort by spend and boom right here. So you can see I was running interest testing. Okay, I was running a PPE campaign just to boost up my creative a little bit and this is what we were running. So this was the original campaign right here as you can see. This one says new ads. So this is the original one. Let's Dive In You guys can see that this was getting sales for a very good price fourteen dollars cost per purchase is very good on Facebook. Yo that is what we're striving for. But I noticed that the CTR and the CPC were very bad. I mean under 1% and above one dollar above two dollars and these cases so I understood that this product is selling okay. But we need to do it better. So that was on this day. I decided we need to do a better and with no hesitation with no hesitation. I ordered this product on Amazon. I got the one day shipping. It showed up this next day. And as you can see we're starting to ramp up on this next day. So this product is getting some traction. I got the product in hand now and I created my own video. Now, let's look at the original ads before we do anything else. So to start with testing this product I basically came in here with around 15 ad sets. Remember this was two years ago. So, you know, my strategy might change up a little bit but overall this still works this approach still works. It really only comes down to the actual product the marketing angle and the creative that you're using. Those are the most important things the testing strategy and the interest that you use it's important but not as important as the actual product and offer that goes into that. So I did three ads inside of each ad set the reason was because Wanted to just test I wanted to see what was gonna work the best and I believe that out of all of these ads the one that actually performed the best of them all was the ad number one. We'll look at all of them now. So at number one fall asleep faster enjoy deeper sleep very important guys when you're writing your ad copyright that main benefit right away just show it right away. And then I said these headphones are made for bedtime. Boom. So we click it. This is literally just a chopped up ad that I saw on Facebook. That's it. I I actually didn't really even edit this ad that much. I just took what I saw made some minor adjustments to it and tested it just to see if this product was gonna work and you know that brings me into a very important point before we dig deeper into this. I want to talk about how I found those other products and how I found this product. So to find all these products I used two tools the first tool that I was using mainly was the Facebook Newsfeed every single day. I would sit on here scroll look for e-commerce stores and basically just like engage go to their website add to cart and force Facebook to feed me more eCommerce stores. That's how I found pretty much all these products except for the Sleep band. It's pretty funny because actually found this in the viral vault, which is my product research tool not a Shameless plug that's actually where I found the product my assistant. He sent me the link to the Facebook ad for this product and I saw that it had nine million views and like a month and a half. Okay, so I click the link from him. I checked it out. And yeah, I knew that that product could go somewhere. So again, it goes back to the Facebook Newsfeed strategy, except I got the link from viral Vault every day. We put products in there and that was one of the products that we were gonna upload but I saw it first and I never do this I never do this, but for the one time I was like, okay don't put this product in the vault. I want to just try this product myself and that's how I found it and check this out this girl. She's also in there. She said she made several sales today, you know, we love to see that but that's how I found a product. Let's talk about the ads again for ad number two. It's pretty much the same exact thing. I think the only difference I made was the actual thumbnail itself. So I used like the auto generated thumbnail from Facebook. And then for the third one, I changed the thumbnail and the copy I did a longer form copy and that was it. I launched the ads and I forgot about it and I woke up the next morning and as you can see we were already doing $200 a day. So I ordered the product on Amazon and this is where Really decided that this product could be something I ordered it. I started scaling a little bit with the original ad you can see with these look-alike audiences here. And when I made this new campaign that we're gonna look at right here with this custom ad that I created with my sister that is really when everything started to started to pop off. You can see that the numbers didn't go up crazy some cases they did but overall they jumped up just a minor bit, but that 20% 30% Improvement was enough for us to start scaling this product. So I rebranded the copy I filmed my own ad by the way, we're gonna break down that in the next stage, but I just want to show you guys from Square zero to getting some traction on the product. That's what it was. So in the next video, I'm really gonna break down the optimization phase of going from this testing to actually getting to let's look at some numbers here getting to the first thousand dollar day. Let's say even surpassing that right like getting to the first $2,000 $3,000 day 4,000 day. Like how did I go from testing to actually getting progress on this product? It's not from some Secret ad strategy. It's not for some little hack that I did. It's from building the foundation and establishing a few core things that we're gonna talk about in the next video but to close out this one. I just want to talk about what made me realize that this product was a winner and what made me make the decision to go all in and really try to optimize this product as much as possible. So again, this is the first month that I was testing this product. Of course, we still got some sales on other products, but this was the first month and right away like you guys saw I knew that this product was getting sales. I knew that this product could be something but deeper than that. I realize that this product was actually something that people would use at the time. I was living at home. I had a little brother that was sleeping in my room with me and this man was snore extra loud and I needed something. Fix that problem and I knew that there were thousands and thousands of people that have the same exact problem amongst other reasons why they can't sleep. So I knew that this was a pain point. I knew that this product was unique. I had never seen it before and of course we had seen the ad that had nine million views and in the comments before going crazy for it and the ad by the way was garbage. It was very low quality. Well, it was actually this ad like I showed you guys it was the original long copy at it. It was not good. It was very bad. So I said I know that I can take this product and make it into something. It solves a clear problem. There's value the existing person running. This product is doing a terrible job and I saw a big brand that had been established selling this product for five plus years, but they weren't doing any marketing. They weren't on any social media platforms. They were just organic word of mouth. So that's when I made the decision and said I'm gonna make this one of the biggest sleep Brands out there and that brings me to the next phase of how do it. So let's talk about how I was able to go from testing to the mid-scaling phase in a strategy that I like to call optimization. Alright guys. See you there.
