In this video we're going to do the basic setup for your Facebook ads. So we're gonna create a business manager create an ad account create a pixel connected to your website and get everything you need to have set up before you start the process of running ads. So the first thing you need to do is go to Facebook and come to the home page. I'm on a new account here. So you want to make sure that you're using your account. It's really good. If you've had a Facebook account for a couple years if you're on a brand new Facebook account you just created today. There may be some problems that arise so make sure that you're using your account that you've been using for a long time go ahead and click on the ads manager. And if for some reason you don't have that you can always just go to Google and search up ads manager. Now the first thing you need to do is just go through and accept this policy whatever it is and after that you're instantly going to be thrown into this which is your ads manager. Now, you can just instantly try to start creating ads but there are a couple things that I would like you to do first. Alright, the first thing it's going to ask you to do is create a payment method now, I'm gonna go ahead and do this real quick. I'm not gonna be leaking my credit card for you guys today, but you want to First make sure it's on the correct time zone and for us that's going to be the Eastern Time Zone, which should be this one right here. You want to make sure in the right currency and the right country then you hit next after that. It's going to ask you to put the credit card in something that I really recommend that you do is actually putting your information right here. If you don't have a legal business name, you could just go ahead and put your first and last name, but this is actually going to help you in regards of not getting banned or not having issues with Count if you give them your information right away, so go ahead and plug your information into here and then go ahead and plug your credit card info in which I'm about to do right now. You can use PayPal as well. And once that's done. We'll move on to the next step. All right, once your payment method is added the next thing you need to do is create your Facebook page. Now, what you want to do for your Facebook page is created with the same name and branding of your hybrid store. There are some Alternatives where you can create a store that is having a specific Niche like pet products or Pet World, but I don't believe in that philosophy. What I've always done is created the store based off of my brand and my name so that's what we're gonna do. So we're gonna go ahead and click create page and for our page name, we're gonna actually use the name of our store so we could say excursa or we could say excursive travel if your products are maybe in the beauty needs you can put Beauty at the end if it's for babies you can Baby at the end in this case. We're just gonna put the name of the brand as for the category. We're gonna see if we can put travel company. We're gonna see if we can put I think what they have option that's like a store. This doesn't really matter that much but we're just gonna leave it as travel company and we could just go put bags and Luggage just put categories that represent your brand. This doesn't make a big difference. But anyways, you could just do that. Then you want to add your profile picture now something that's really important is putting a good quality profile picture. And if you remember back in the training, we had created a small version of our logo. So if you happen to have that you can just go ahead and use that which is what I have right here. And that's going to be sufficient for this situation. What you could also do is make it stand out a little bit more by adding some color to it. In this case the way I would do that would be changing the logo of the guy to being a different color, but we'll keep it simple for now. Just something that you can work on then you can put your bio. So we're gonna go back to the website and I'm just gonna pull from the bio that I've already created again. This doesn't matter too much, but it just we want it we want to Our page as complete as possible because remember we are a brand that our customer has never heard of so if we have any signs that we are not to be trusted or our brand has an off feeling people are not going to trust you and they're going to be less likely to go through and make that purchase. All right, so it's very important that you guys take the time to do this the right way. And yeah, we have this right here page is required to run ads go ahead and click confirm. All right. So now we have our Facebook page and we have our payment method plugged in you might now Jump Right In and start running ads, but I don't recommend that you do that right away. So what we need to do next is you're going to see how they offer you to do a campaign. Don't do that just yet. Well we need to do next is connect the Facebook pixel to our website. The Facebook pixel is a tool that allows you to track what your customers do on your website. So if a customer lands on your store, it's going to track day. If you're going to purchase a product from your store. It's going to track that and it is absolutely essential that you have a Facebook pixel on your Shopify store. So to install that you want to go to apps and you want to go ahead and search Facebook. It's going to load and Facebook and Instagram's going to pop up right here. You're going to click add app and with this app. It allows you to not only create the pixel but instantly connected to your store. It used to be way more complicated. You have to add code and stuff like that. Now it's as simple as ever so. Just making sure we're still recording. What you want to do is go to click Start setup and then connect your Facebook account. Make sure it's the right account. Make sure you click allow. You want to make sure you click your Facebook page and click connect? And it's saying that it is not connected to a business account. What we're going to do now is create a business account or a business manager. This is going to be the house for all of your ad accounts in this scenario. You're typically only gonna need one ad account but the business manager can consider it to be like the house for all of your assets your ad accounts your pixels your profiles your pages everything. So we're gonna go and create new business account and we're gonna hit continue and there's nothing that we need to do for this. It's going to go ahead and create it for us. And once that's done now, we're gonna have our business account our page and our ad account. So we pretty much have everything we need to run ads except for the pixel. So it's telling me I need to activate Shopify payments. You will probably have done this at this stage. The reason I don't have is because this is like a sample store, but we see if I can do it without if not, I'll go through and add that. All right. So when they ask you this right here, it's very important that you click on maximum. Maximum is going to get the best possible result in terms of tracking on your website. Now Facebook made a change around a year ago two years ago where they made it much harder for us to track the customers because I don't know if you guys know this but if you have a iPhone anytime you open up an app that for the first time it asks you if you would like to be tracked by the app and subconsciously you might just click out of that but a lot of people actually click do not allow so if they click do not allow we're unable to track them but because of Facebook's tools that they've created if you click on maximum there is a higher ability of tracking people and there are some other things you can do to track people better, but it's just something I wanted to Enlighten you guys on so we're gonna go ahead and click save and we will move on to the next portion. Now we need to create the pixel. So you want to go ahead and hit create new and now we have our pixel there ready to go. We want to hit confirm we want to agree and submit for review and that's pretty much all that. It takes to get set up with a Facebook ad account. I know it might seem like it's complicated but it's really easy. And once you have this you are ready to go and start running ads now. I want to leave you guys with something that's super important. So on Facebook they are quick to ban people not just drop shippers anybody that's running any type of online offer and running ads. They are quick to ban people so If you're going to be running Facebook ads, I need you to go and I need you to study the Facebook policies. Okay, so if we go search a Facebook policies advertising and we go to the advertising standards here from meta. You guys have to go through and study this it's not gonna take you a long time and I'll go ahead and I'll even link this Below on this video but these is some this is something that I need you guys to study because gonna give you an idea on why they ban stuff and why stuff doesn't get approved. I have people that reach out to me almost on a weekly basis saying hey Jordan my account got banned what happened and they never read the policy in the first place. So I see their ad and it's like showing something crazy and I'm like, bro, you just had to read this and you wouldn't have done that in the first place. So this is a short read it's gonna take you five minutes to read and it says everything that you are not allowed to do on Facebook. Okay. So make sure you go through and read this before you spend even a dime on Facebook because once you get banned, it's pretty difficult to get back. It's pretty difficult to get back another account. We have tools that we can provide to you guys to get accounts, but it's not cheap. So it's very important that you try to protect your account as much as you can and reading this will give you some clarity on what gets banned and what doesn't so with that being said that is everything you need to get set up with your initial Facebook account. If you guys have any questions, you can contact Facebook directly or reach out to my team in the Discord, but for now, let's move on to the next video.
